Part-time Esthetician Graduate from a board approved vocational or technical school or equivalent and current licensure from the State of GA as an Esthetician. At least 2 years experience as an Esthetician or skin care specialist with a very strong clinical background to provide support to an extremely busy well-established Dermatology practice located in Fayetteville. Performs a variety of clinical duties in accordance with established standards, policies and practices. Assists physician with minor surgeries and all in-office procedures. Performs a variety of skin treatments and procedures to maintain and improve appearance, using specialized techniques and products, and assists in the delivery of safe, quality skin care services to patients. Performs skin treatments/procedures, including but not limited to: laser hair removal, chemical peels, pore extractions, micro dermabrasions and therapeutic facials. Responsible for greeting patients in a professional manner and escorting patients to exam rooms. Obtains vital signs if necessary and gathers other pertinent patient history. Explains various skin treatments/procedures and office policies to patients; answers questions and obtains patient signature on appropriate consent forms as per office policy. Demonstrates how to clean and care for skin properly and recommends proper skin-care regimens. Responsible for cleaning and preparing exam rooms; ensures that exam rooms are stocked appropriately with necessary supplies and instruments. Sterilizes equipment and maintains clean work areas. May assist with physician's patient schedule to ensure the timely flow of patients; may facilitate the scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling of patient appointments as needed. Will also be responsible for performing call-backs and calling in RX's. Excellent interpersonal, communications and customer service skills required. Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in skin treatments and procedures and related back office duties. Must be a strong team player who is flexible to cover others when needed with the ability to multi-task and pay attention to details. Computer literacy required. Familiarity with NextGen and/or EMR a plus. Membership in EstheticsAmerica via the National Cosmetology Association or CIDESCO certification a huge plus. Flexible schedule with 20-30 hours a week depending upon patient volume. |
