Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or MA diploma with at least 3 years of Back Office experience in specialty patient care with a very strong clinical background and excellent phlebotomy skills. Will support two clinics: Gynecological Oncology and Urology. Practices located in Fayetteville near the main campus of Piedmont Fayette Hospital. Performs a variety of clinical and non-clinical duties in accordance with established standards and practices. Responsible for escorting patients to exam rooms; obtaining vital signs and other pertinent patient history; explaining procedures to patients. Responsible for cleaning, stocking/preparing exam rooms. Performs the following clinical duties, including but not limited to: injections, X-rays, EKGs, venipuncture and collecting specimens. Will assist with: biopsies, colposcopies, endo-cervical biopsies, PAP smears and pelvic exams.  Will assist with sterile tray set-ups and cystoscopes. Assists physicians with other minor procedures as indicated. Follows universal precautions at all times. May also perform phone management and other non-clinical duties: (e.g. triage, scheduling appointments, processing referrals, call backs, etc.) Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in Back Office duties required. Good work ethic, responsible, self-starter, team player. Must pay attention to details and have the ability to multi-task. Excellent interpersonal, communications and customer service skills with a professional demeanor required. Strong computer skills; familiarity with NextGen and EMR a plus. Experience in the specialty practices of Oncology and/or Urology is highly desirable.  Part time schedule of approx. 16 hrs. / week is subject to flexibility and may change to accommodate the needs of the practices
