Responsible for: Preparing and validating the accuracy of physician and allied health professional applications for distribution and support of the medical staff, their offices, and Piedmont hospitals in all matters related to physician and allied health services, via primary source verification. Manages the day to day functions of the Credentialing Verifications Office, to include communication to the medical staff and provider enrollment. Responsible for managing reports and updates for physician-related databases. Implements and coordinates procedures for biannual reappointment process. Establishes work processes and expedites work flow. Educates physicians and credentialing staff on ECHO functionality and STAR Patient Care System. Provides support to Medical Staff Offices. Communicates physician demographic data throughout the Piedmont Healthcare system. Disseminates information to physicians and their Medical Staff Offices.  Acts as liaison between healthcare systems (HLS) and Credentialing Verification Office (CVO).Coordinates relationships with 3rd party vendors. Supervises Credentialing Specialists. Assists Manager of Provider Enrollment as needed Bachelor's Degree and CPCS certification in Medical Staff Services preferred and at least 3 years of related experience. Experience in physician and allied health credentials certification essential. Excellent written and orals skills. Proficient in use of WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, spreadsheets, ECHO and other managed care related software applications.
